Final Fantasy 14 Trailer: Another Fantasy Story

"Tearful farewells were bade," explains a Final Fantasy XIV trailer from the Tokyo Game Show, "And so we fight on! Until restless seas run dry." That'll be an MMORPG alright.

Square Enix's FF14 arrives on PC and PlayStation 3 in 2010, with classes determined purely by items and an interesting degree of quest customisation through 'Guildleves.'

Oh my god, I haven't played a final fantasy since I turned off final fantasy 10 after 2-3 hours.
But those chimes, at the end, when the logo was shown. My god, goosebumps, I felt like I was back at my friends house, playing Final Fantasy 7 again. Like when I was 11.

Wow. This game manages to combine two things I dislike (Final Fantasy anything - yawn & MMORPGs - EVEN BIGGER YAWN) to create an anti-Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of gaming. Ugh.

how come the E3 Trailer has Japanese Subtitles but the Tokyo Game Show Trailer doesn't?
I hope they don't mess this up, I'm really looking forward to an MMO that does something different and interesting for a change.
