Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Media Celebrates Going Gold
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 24, 2009 12:35pm PDTCodemasters has today announced that its military sim Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has gone gold, hitting shelves on October 6 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
New screenshots and a trailer released in celebration of the golden news show its mission 'Eagle Offense,' with the objective to seize an enemy-controlled airfield.
Developed not by series creator Bohemia--now developing the ARMA series--but internally at Codemasters, Dragon Rising sports 220 square kilometres of virtual island.
Screenshots are all good and well, but it's hard to beat a snazzy trailer. Like this one.

Looks like they're focusing more on shiny graphics and action combat then milsim like OFP and ARMA/ARMA II do.
It could still be an interesting game, but I doubt it'll be in league with the original or ARMA.
