Evening Reading

Looks like our severs got tipped over for a few minutes earlier today. And now the League of Legends servers are down. What a terrible Friday for internet-enabled time wasting.

That would completely change the game. 100% a different game there. The possibilities......

Wait til they ban Starcraft 2 for it's realistic depiction of alien warfare and Diablo 2 for it's violence and evil overtones. Then we'll see you change your tune.

They would go back in time and ban Diablo 2? What a bunch of fucking dicks down there.

It costs the developers. Yes you can import/pirate the stuff, but ultimately the targeted game will loose sales.

I didn't mean pirating, I meant import, steam, steam gifting, play-asia - all options.

You could try protesting your government so in the future it's not something "to be solved".

If they ban God of War 3, sure - I can't be bothered over L4D2.

Can't you just use a VPN to buy it over Steam?

Many problems with that, firstly I think our accounts are flagged as aussie accounts due to the ip address, credit card and residential address on the accounts.
I don't *think* we can change that, even if I moved to the states, don't quote me though
VPN would solve my IP and Paypal can solve my US address but my account is still known to be an Aussie one anyhow. so who knows :/

When I was in NZ, with a US credit card, I had to VPN into the US to buy stuff.

So I think you have to be in NZ/AU with a NZ/AU credit card, or in US with a US credit card... etc.

Rugby is just fine and dandy down under, it's the video game violence you've got to be careful about.
