Half-Life 2 'All Sounds Replaced with My Voice' Mod Works Better Than It Sounds
by Nick Breckon, Sep 17, 2009 5:01pm PDTThe idea of replacing a game's sound effects with human vocal reproduction isn't entirely new, and has often been done to varying degrees of success. Enter the "All Sounds Replaced with My Voice" mod for Half-Life 2.
Noticed by the chaps over at RockPaperShotgun, the mod--created by modder Trase--replaces 1327 sound effects in Half-Life 2 with the author's vocal interpretation of the original booms and splats. It's funny, and also a little fascinating.

However, the preview video will get more action than the actual mod anyways. I don't think many people will play HL2 all over again just to hear some dork make 'pew pew' sounds.
None the less, the trailer was amusing. >:)
Microsoft should allow modders to make mods for games on Xbox 360 the same way XNA games are made for Indie Games. The tab would be called Game Modifications, and all the content would have to be pre-screened and rated.

Multiple lasers that sound like cats fighting is an area of game design as yet untapped I feel.
Definitely pretty coo. Sounds like a chorus when a lot of different sounds are playing at the same time.

Now, if someone repalced the sounds with sounds from classic games of all times Space invades bleep and marching, Zelda boomerang, Doom rocket laumcher, you get the idea) THAT would be awesome.
Pity I am far, far, far too lazy to do that myself!
The biggest laugh came during the car scene.
