Nihilistic's downloadable omni-directional shooter Zombie Apocaylpse will premiere on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next week, publisher Konami revealed today.

Coming to Xbox Live on September 23 with PlayStation Network following September 24, the 800 MS Point ($10) Geometry Wars-like title sports 11 different weapons, ranging from assault rifles and chainsaws to explosive-filled teddy bears.

Hrm. This is a lot like the MoH and CoD days of yore...where developers think they can reskin shit games, slap Nazi (in this case zombie) somewhere on the box, and have it sell well.

I guess im just bitter that Zombies have sold out. Its like, I have supported Zombies for years, and now they are turning their backs on us, going all mainstream. Guess its time to go cut myself or something.

As far as I see it, zombie games are much like zombie movies - there's some real gems in the genre, but the majority of it is rubbish. I'm just holding out for more 'gems'.
