As promised, LucasArts today re-released the entirety of its Star Wars-based shooting and saber-swinging Jedi Knight series through digital distribution outlet Steam.

The five games are available in the $19.99 Jedi Knight Collection, or individually:

  • Star Wars: Dark Forces - $4.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II - $4.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith - $2.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - $9.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy - $9.99

Also new is the LucasArts Adventure Pack, which bundles four of the company's previously re-released adventure games (Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, LOOM, The Dig) for $9.99 instead of $19.96.

Direct2Drive also got in on the bundle action, offering up an identical LucasArts Adventure Bundle at $9.95 and a three-game Jedi Knight Bundle (Star Wars Dark Forces, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy) for $14.95.

Come to think of it, that was the game I barely managed to get. There was only one copy left in the store, so I hid it behind another game and went home to get my cash.

When I got back and brought it to the counter the guy was surprised. Someone else had been in to buy it and couldn't find the box. Win!

I bought it when I only had 4 MB of RAM. It required 8 MB to run, so I had to upgrade. :(

I hope you upgraded to 16 MB to futureproof your investment. You'll never need more than that.
