Star Wars Jedi Knight Games Arrive on Steam, LucasArts Bundles Now Available
by Chris Faylor, Sep 16, 2009 12:37pm PDTAs promised, LucasArts today re-released the entirety of its Star Wars-based shooting and saber-swinging Jedi Knight series through digital distribution outlet Steam.
The five games are available in the $19.99 Jedi Knight Collection, or individually:
- Star Wars: Dark Forces - $4.99
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II - $4.99
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith - $2.99
- Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - $9.99
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy - $9.99
Also new is the LucasArts Adventure Pack, which bundles four of the company's previously re-released adventure games (Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, LOOM, The Dig) for $9.99 instead of $19.96.
Direct2Drive also got in on the bundle action, offering up an identical LucasArts Adventure Bundle at $9.95 and a three-game Jedi Knight Bundle (Star Wars Dark Forces, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy) for $14.95.

If they sort out the 3d accelaration issues and get the musics in all the games, then I'll consider again.
The adventure pack on the other hand is a sure buy, even though I do own the boxed versions also.

I don't know if its compatible with the Steam version of the game, but it might be worth a try.

Via dialup, i connected to Lucasart's BBS and downloaded the demo directly. I left it on downloading overnight - it must have been...what 1-200mb total? Maybe even less than that, I can't remember.
Anyway I thought I was downloading it from this new internet thing, and I will point out now that I am in Australia.

Any us consumers are eating it up. It's a great deal for us. $5 for 4 hours worth of great memories is not a bad price. I don't think this was a foreseen consequence of Steam, but Valve created value from nothing, and it's pretty cool.
