Wii Price Cut Rumors Pick Up Steam

Considering the PS3 and 360 prices, the Wii should be about 149$

It really blows my mind that the 360 arcade has been cheaper or same price for a long time. It's almost a fucking con that nintendo is running. Many people I've questioned thought the controller was where a bulk of the cost was. Like it's this new amazing technology.

Needed to be a $100 price cut to follow suit with MS and Sony's. $150 sounds about right for the Wii, three years later. Honestly it could even stand to be $100, for what you're getting. For how old and weak the hardware inside is, they'd probably still profit off of the hardware even at that price point.

WIi's fall and winter line-up doesn't look that great. Here is a sample of a few games I could find for Q3 / Q4 2009:

The new Super Mario Bros. doesn't excite me at all. Looks boring and easy. Dead space, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil might be the biggest hitters on this list. Maybe spore in there too, but nothing that would attract from the FURY of games coming to the xbox360 / PS3.

There isn't a reason for me to support my Wii this holiday season. There just aren't any high quality games that garner any interest from me. The PC, 360, and PS3 all have super-high-quality games coming out this holiday and the Wii really loses out.

Halo: ODST, CoD MW:2, Aion, Demon Souls, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Brutal Legend, Dragon's Age, L4D2, and many more are so much better than any Wii game coming out this holiday.
