Star Wars: Galaxies Struck by Zombie Fever
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 14, 2009 8:13am PDTIn an overlooked announcement just now making the rounds, LucasArts has revealed that the dead shall walk again in Sony Online Entertainment's MMORPG Star Wars: Galaxies, with a series of quests inspired by the upcoming Star Wars novel 'Death Troopers.'
"Players will be able to join together to fight horrific new enemies with a frightening affliction," LucasArts explains, with the book's blurb detailing "The dead are rising: soulless, unstoppable, and unspeakably hungry."
Death Troopers the novel arrives on October 13, while Death Troopers the quest line was then slated for a vague fall release. LucasArts has vowed to continuing supporting Galaxies after the launch of BioWare's new Star Wars MMO The Old Republic.

That just sounds funny. "They're so hungry, I don't even want to talk about it."

And hey, just be glad they're not vampires.
Wrong. They can't. Thats about the time that their contract with Lucasarts will expire and the game will more then likely be shutdown since Lucasarts probably wants to ditch the PoS.
It's too bad to. The game would have been mildly successful still if they wouldn't have pulled NGE. AKA Turn game into StarWoW.
someone needs a smack upside the head from HK-47 and an explicit reminder to get back to work on KOTOR 3 rather than doing stuff like this!
lolz
The book sounds awesome (read a sample chapter) but I don't know about zombies in SWG.
