First Screenshots of Funcom's 'Secret World'

After years of teases, Age of Conan and Anarchy Online developer Funcom has released the first screenshots from its third massively multiplayer title, The Secret World.

Conceived and directed by The Longest Journey creator Ragnar Tornquist, the modern-day MMO tells of a supernatural conflict involving three secret societies: the Illuminati, the Dragon and the Templars. Unlike many other entries in the genre, including Funcom's past MMOs, The Secret World is said to have "no classes or levels."

No word on when the PC and Xbox 360 MMO will launch, but beta signups are open.

Nice looks very good as did (AOC).

I only really have one question; does it have a good loot system like Wow with allot of colors aka lvls, variety, good drp rate, etc.

If it has Wow lvl collecting and carries over the cool spells and spell talent trees form AOC this will be a very cool game.

Please Funcom loot, loot, loot, loot, loot.

Above subpar graphics - Check.
Absence of wizards or fairies or any other gay fantasy bs - Check.
Gameplay not wholly depending on how much of a geek you are and how much of your sad, pathetic geek life you are prepared to throw away for a single game - Check (hopefully).

Same dudes that made Dreamfall TLJ - Bonus Check (optional).

Yup, this just might be the first MMO I actually play.

Looks cool I LOVE this setting (so tired of sword and all that medieval crap ) BUT I didn't forget about AoC.

Ohh I can't wait. Anarchy Online was/is the best MMO and this is looking like it's successor. I hope they go with a real skill based system like in AO and not some idiot proof garbage like we see in WOW or AOC.

I want to be able to put on a QL 100 shotty and ql 200 armor at lvl 1 with carefully planned use of implants or things of that nature.

I'm actually kinda intrigued by the screenshots and I anticipate that this game might actually be a little fun. I might actually play this for a little while to see if i like it, even though Funcom has put a bad taste in my mouth in the past.
