'Red Baron' Rights Land at Creator's New Studio

4
Red Baron creator Damon Slye's studio Mad Otter Games has announced that it has acquired all rights to the vintage PC WWI flight simulator series' first three installments.

While Mad Otter has not revealed what it intends to do with the rights, it is offering a $1500 bounty to the first person who can deliver any of the titles' complete source code.

World War I dogfights have never been far from Mad Otter's mind, as the studio dabbled in triplane combat with 'Ace of Aces' on browser gaming portal Instant Action.

Original series publisher Sierra released Stainless' action-heavy Red Baron Arcade on PS3 after following a hefty delay from September '08. Thanks to Tim for the news tip.

I still play this game on occasion. I bought a community mod called Full Canvas Jacket, that upgrades the graphics a bit. Just wish there was better Glide Wrappers out there.

There is also a mod for Combat Flight Sim 3 that makes it into a WW1 sim that is really good, it is called Over Flanders Fields.
