'Red Baron' Rights Land at Creator's New Studio

By Alice O'Connor, Sep 09, 2009 10:45am PDT Red Baron creator Damon Slye's studio Mad Otter Games has announced that it has acquired all rights to the vintage PC WWI flight simulator series' first three installments.

While Mad Otter has not revealed what it intends to do with the rights, it is offering a $1500 bounty to the first person who can deliver any of the titles' complete source code.

Red Baron from 1990, and Mad Otter's Ace of Aces.

World War I dogfights have never been far from Mad Otter's mind, as the studio dabbled in triplane combat with 'Ace of Aces' on browser gaming portal Instant Action.

Original series publisher Sierra released Stainless' action-heavy Red Baron Arcade on PS3 after following a hefty delay from September '08. Thanks to Tim for the news tip.
