Blur Trailer Praises, Explains Power-Ups

The gang at Bizarre Creations extol the virtues of the power-up pick-ups littering the tracks of their PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 racer Blur in a new trailer released today.

Combining the glitzy detonations of Bizarre's Geometry Wars with the high-speed antics of its Project Gotham Racing series, power-ups will offer speed boosts as well as a variety of shunts, bumps and disables when Blur is released on November 3.

Got a chance to see this. Looks really weak. Especially coming from Bizarre Creations. Split Second, on the other hand, was amazingly fun, even in an early build phase. THAT'S the one to keep an eye out for.

That lady somewhat irked me. Reminds me of the female shopkeeper that convinced my mum that a NeoPet was the same thing as a Tamagotchi, which at the time was heresy.

I'm a bit puzzled by the marketing angle they're taking with this. Power-ups aren't exactly a new idea in racing games.
