Star Wars: Republic Heroes Demo Hits Xbox 360

If you've got that Thursday feeling, there's no better cure than to kick back, whip out your lightsaber and pretend to be a space wizard--now easier than ever thanks to the Xbox Live Marketplace debut of the demo for Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes.

Pew pew! Whrooom! Whroom-whroom! Tsssccchhk!

Set between seasons 1 and 2 of the Stars Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, Krome Studios' co-op enabled action adventure Republic Heroes is slated to arrive September 15 on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PS2, Nintendo DS, and PSP.

Terrible, the controls as a republic solider are ridiculous due to the terrible immobile camera positioning. It makes those sections into a Geometry Wars style game, but the camera just doesn't make it work well. The Jedi sections are poor in comparison even to The Force Unleashed. Its a game for kids simple as that, while Lego Star Wars had addicting collectibles and charm, this lacks both but retains the simple gameplay. Meh.
