      Me too. Even if it isn't 100% now, I hope that there's enough interest and subscribers to continue improving it. Eliminating the need for a powerful/expensive desktop client and making PC gaming as stupid-easy as console gaming is only a good thing as far as keeping it popular.

        Also, this makes gaming on netbooks and most notebooks totally feasible. Again, I want to believe. :(

        Yeah, I really hope it fails, because even if its just good enough for the average joe it will never be good enough for me.

      there is no way they will have the infrastructure to handle this.

        that's a really shortsighted statement. infrastructure can be built.

        in fact every technical obstacle about this can be overcome. we need this infrastructure built anyway, our global network needs to be always on and available everywhere. we get closer to that reality every year, i just think people don't realize how quickly its going to happen.

        how long ago was it that dialing up to a bbs with 4 phone lines at 19.2baud was considered state of the art and backing up your pc on floppy disks was considered an essential feature? yeah, i thought so.
