Take-Two Settles GTA 'Hot Coffee' Suit for $20M
by Nick Breckon, Sep 01, 2009 1:47pm PDTPublisher Take-Two today announced that it has settled the class action suit over the "Hot Coffee" Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas mod controversy for $20 million.
"The class action was related to allegations of the purported "Hot Coffee" content contained in the Company's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas title and historical stock option granting practices," said the company in a press release.
The suit alleged that the company knowingly shipped San Andreas with the secret "Hot Coffee" sex minigame included on the disc.
"We are pleased to have reached this settlement, which represents another important step forward for the Company," said Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick.
