Guitar Hero 5 Import Feature Snags a Fraction of World Tour Songs
by Nick Breckon, Sep 01, 2009 1:02pm PDTThough Activision is allowing users to import songs from Guitar Hero World Tour into Guitar Hero 5, the feature currently only extends to 35 of World Tour's 86 tracks.
As reported by USA Today, the 35 songs will cost users 250 Microsoft Points ($3.50) to import. By comparison, Rock Band 2 users are able to export 55 of Rock Band's 58 songs for the cost of $5.
Activision told an indignant Destructoid that the list of World Tour imports will be expanded in the future as more songs are ported.

The system just doesn't work for gamers. It is breaking down fast. This whole thing needs to be consolidated to one game with some way of getting matched with people with the same song packs or songs. I'm not sure exactly how that would work, but I think the genre is being run straight into the ground now. RB Beatles will do well, but I think that's about the last hurrah for music games unless something seriously changes.
