Wii Fit Plus Coming in Early October

Nintendo today announced that its "enhanced" exercise title Wii Fit Plus will be on North American store shelves Sunday, October 4.

Plus brings with it a variety of new activities, along with the ability to create a custom routine.

Nintendo says that the $99.99 Wii Fit Plus/Wii Balance Board bundle will "replace" the $89.99 Wii Fit bundles already at retailers.

Meanwhile, those that already have the Wii Balance Board required for the fitness title, i.e. those that own Wii Fit, will be able to pick up Plus as a standalone $19.99 disc.

For a minute I thought that this was like the other Wii plus in that I would have to add something to my balance board or replace it somehow.

As did I, I was about to be pissed considering we just bought one.

I wonder if they ever would do that. Doesn't seem like they'd need to. Unless they replaced it with some sort of balance "mat" that is flatter, softer and bigger. So you could run on it, jump on it like the old school nintendo mat thing, or like a ddr pad but with actual weight detection.
