1. it's so much faster. Using the 360 one is just frustrating due to slowness.
2. on the 360 one everything is 7 levels deep
3. The 360 one requires you to click yes about a million times for everything
Of course neither really emphasise the games. I only play games on you 360, what's all this other shit? How come instead of just showing a big grid of all my arcard titles and whatever is in the drive, and maybe all the other games I've played on you via disk so that I can remember them and maybe then think "oh yeah lets play that again" you show me a bunch of stupid crap and force me to fo two levels deep to find my arcade games?
MS are so shit at making software.

Most of it seems to be the same too. People hate the oversized font, the friends list backgrounds, the ticker in the top right along with the box outline, and the playstation store icons littered all over the place. What's really odd to me is the huge font change after all this time. Some people won't notice it, at least not right away. Those who are used to the old look of the XMB and thought it was nice and clean, simple and elegant are going to hate the new cluttered look it brings to everything.
I wonder how soon they'll bring out 3.1 which fixes a lot of the changes. I've really never seen so many fanboys complain about something Sony has done with the firmware on their own site. It's good to see they have a brain and aren't taking it without question as if Sony was infallible. I suppose the same could be said the complaints are trivial bullshit, but the XMB is no longer aesthetically pleasing.

Bottom line this thing looks bloated. SONY LISTEN TO ME RE-DESIGN IT.
And not to sound like a fanboy the Xbox interface already has all of this and doesn't look bloated, at least thats my opinion. This update needed something else special. It just feels like a over stuff sandwich.

One such icon is quite sufficient, and most of the time even that is one more than I require. Having an extra button on every tab of the interface is right out.
Can't find a way to get rid of the scrolling marquee up top, though :(
