Katamari Rolls on PlayStation 3 This September

Katamari Forever, the first PlayStation 3 entry in the eccentric sticky ball-rolling franchise Katamari Damacy, is now complete, has entered manufacturing, and will ship to North American retailers September 22, publisher Namco Bandai said today.

This time, the King of All Cosmos has lost his memory due to an "unfortunately accident" that also knocked all the stars out of the sky, once again leaving it up to you, the Prince of All Cosmos, to roll around that ever-enlarging ball and recreate the night sky.

No word yet if hand puppets or sleeping animals will play key roles. However, Namco did claims that Forever "boasts the largest collection of stages, modes, songs, and cousins to date" alongside its remixed tunes and fancy new optional graphical filters.

Nah, this may be one I wait on.

It's supposed to be mostly rehashes of the levels from the first two games with a lot more objects (now that the PS3 can support it) and a handful more things. Yes, it's Katamari, it's great gameplay, but with a lot of other titles pulling at me, I'll wait a month or so to see this drop in proice.

I assume it'll probably sell for $40 like Beautiful Katamari did, hopefully with less DLC rape.

Yeah, you -are- going to hell. If you can't enjoy the purest form of gaming goofy fun known to man, I just don't know.

But that's alright. I'll be there too ((For unrelated things, I fucking LOVE Katamari)). I'll keep you a seat and a sundae.

What's so gimmicky about a style of play? By your own definition of -Gimmicky-, all platformer games are obsolete. As are all shooting games. And RTS'. And pretty much every game ever is obsolete unless it has a brand new way to play. Katamari is wunderbar man, stop living in a world of hate and dull.

Why say "wunderbar" instead of "wonderful"?

To increase my vocabulary, and because it sounds goofy, and I like to sound goofy. Why Johnnsen instead of Johnson?
