CrimeCraft Movies Celebrate Launch

With Vogster's "persistent world next-gen shooter" CrimeCraft (PC) formally launching today, the studio is celebrating the occasion with footage of the game's skills.

The subscription-based shooter is now available from Best Buy and Steam.

I wonder if the designers of this game actually, and/or secretly, thought it had a good (as in better than 50%) chance of actually making money and sustaining a viable community for an extended period of time. There has got to be programmers/artists/designers out there glad just to simply have a job and a decent paycheck but question whether or not their product is compelling enough to be successful.

Disclaimer: I'm basing this strictly off of the name and premise of the game, as I have neither played nor watched more than two gameplay videos.

I played the beta, yeah it pretty much plays exactly how it looks. Accuracy, damage system, animations, etc, etc are terrible. Though there is crafting, and um... Oh you can run around naked, that should please the CS/Best-Buy crowd.
Trying to think what else, seeing as I played it maybe an hour before experiencing everything the game will ever offer.
All the fighting is instanced -- actually to avoid having to remember anything else, just going to say it was all around awful. It simply felt like a game your retarded step-brother might buy in the bargain bin for your birthday gift.
