Hidden Path has announced that the Xbox Live Arcade release of its tower defence Defense Grid: The Awakening will arrive on September 2 for 800 MS Points ($10).

The XBLA version boasts four new levels and a dozen challenge modes over the fine PC original, in addition to the regular "12 hours of story play, 24 unique environments across the Awakening campaign... plus over 100 unlockable challenge modes."

      There's quite a lot of support on the Steam forums for new content, so hopefully they will patch this stuff in or release it as cheap (CHEAP!) DLC.

      To be honest, I would be happy to pay for an add-on pack for this, I paid $10 for the original game and it is awesome value.

      Hidden Path refers to the extra missions as the "Borderlands mission pack," so I would imagine it's getting a PC release as an update or DLC.
