The bad news: Now that the gfx power of my PC > consoles I will want to play MassEffect2 on my PC. (I switch over from one to the other as my primary platform ~every 5 years)
The even worse news: I played and replayed the fuck out of MassEffect on Xbox360 and the idea of doing it all over again on PC just to prepare for MassEffect2 is not a fun one.

8xxx GeForce, only the most popular line of cards at the time of the game's release.
Hope that whoever argued that the game was fine feels like an idiot now.
Also hope BioWare burns to the ground for releasing a patch almost a year later to a substantially broken game.
Before I waste my download limit, can anyone who hasn't had the game working before confirm that it's fixed now?

Shadows look to have been improved, but nothing too dramatic.
I didn't have any problems with GRID until after an update, then it would give me an error on exit --not a big deal I guess.

what about x1800xt !!! :( going to reinstall the game and check it out
Well, I dug up the game just 2 days back and while I've enjoyed it, many of the bugs listed in the fixes there have bothered me. Also got stuck a second time, this time around luckily had a relatively fresh backup save.
So... better late than never I guess.
