In a break from all this GamesCom madness, Telltale has put out a trailer for its next episodic adventure, Tales of Monkey Island - Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay.

The second entry in the five-part series arrives on PC via digital distribution tomorrow. As with the first chapter, a WiiWare release will follow, but we don't know exactly when.

Sweet! I hope they let us pre-load today.

I hope the story isn't as cliche as it seems to be heading. There were moments in the first chapter that had me laughing out loud (taking over the boat, the action figure collector) but they were few and far between. Most of the game would illicit a grin if anything. Basically, this isn't the zany stuff that had me in stitches playing Monkey Island 1 and 2.

  what exactly in MI1 and MI2 had you in stitches? because I see this complaint pretty often and I have to confess while I enjoyed those games a good amount I was never 'in stitches' and pretty much had the same grinning you mentioned going on while I played them.

    Yeah, I hear the same comment a lot too. I think the nostalgia-factor kicks in and we remember it being funnier than it actually was (not knocking MI1/2 as they're probably two of my fav games of all time). I thought the first episode of Tales was great and it did have me LOLing a number of times and if they keep up with the same quality I'll be very happy.

    Insult swordfight alone had me cracking up, meeting Largo and making the doll, the crew on the first ship, the cannibals, Wally, Booty Island... hell all of Monky Island 2 was pretty hilarious.
    
    Granted I was much younger and found witty puns a lot funnier than I do now but the point stands.
