More Napster Lawsuits
by Steve Gibson, Apr 18, 2000 2:06pm PDTNapster is catching a lot of flack lately. Most recently Metallica filed a lawsuit against the company, and most of you guys remember the proggy getting banned from a cablemodem company. Now Dr. Dre is 'lashing out' at Napster giving them till the end of the week to stop allowing his music. "Dr. Dre has not committed to suing them, but that would be the logical conclusion if they don't take it off their site"
``We wrote a letter yesterday on behalf of Dr. Dre to Napster basically putting them on notice that the listing of his songs and masters on Napster and the facilitation of the transfer of those files constitutes an infringement of his copyrights,'' said Howard King, an attorney who sent the letter on behalf of Andre Young, known as Dr. Dre.While on the subject, here is an interview with the CEO of Napster. i was at this place where peoplelistened to country music and they kept playing "before i'm over you" by loretta lynn. they played it so much that it's stuck in myhead and i want a copy of it. i found it atan mp3 site but the server guy wanted $10 to get access. of course i said no (wtf doesn;t that just go against the whole mp3 morals...skewed as they may be)
do any of the country listeners here have that song and be interested in trading for it?
the curent one i cant stop listening too is the thong song by sisqo
i know it's commercial and crappy but i like it
i read 100 years of solitude by gabriel garcia marquez
it's a great novel and has a partin the story where the workers of the fruit company went on strike and the government basically slaughtered everyone and loaded up the trains with the corpses and then denied the whole thing the next day. they said all the dead people had either taken off or were missing but they never acknowledged having killed them all.
most ppl with computers that get mp3s are kids whose paretns are someone wealthy
WTF??????? yeah right, most kids who get mp3's have parents who are wealthy. what, did you take a fucking poll? please.

the D.R.E. out on a robbin' spree
I've memorized zero lyrics because my brain refuses to waste space and I'm not one of those "regurgitate the words to be cool" types. Mumbling works fine.
Nirvana was the last band I remember... everything else is a blurred jumble of pleasing and not so pleasing background noise.
/end of my indifference statement.
