Wii Sports Nears 50 Million Sales Mark

Nintendo has published updated lifetime sales for some of its biggest Wii sellers, revealing that Wii Sports sales will soon top 50 million.

The flagship Wii title, bundled in some territories and sold in others, now stands at 47.6 million units shipped worldwide.

Other staggering numbers include Wii Fit sales, which have reached 21.8 million, and Mario Kart Wii's 17.39 million units sold.

Bundled games should not count. Only the Japanese versions of Wii sports should count since they were non-bundles.
