East India Company Demo: Defending Trade One Cannonball at a Time
by Nick Breckon, Jul 31, 2009 1:36pm PDTParadox Entertainment has released the demo for East India Company, Nitro Games' title based around the historical intercontinental trade group. It may sound like a dry subject for a game, but judging from the screenshots, there is clearly some high-seas action to be had.
Grab the demo on FileShack. The full game is already available digitally on Steam, Direct2Drive and other digital retailers.

Unfortunately, it seems like it might get old quickly. The existence of loading screens for the (semi) unnecessary port view every time you want to load or unload cargo are annoying, and the information needed to make intelligent macro-scale choices is hard to find.
I'll probably pick this up for 15 or 20 bucks down the road.
