The Witcher Director's Cut Patch Brings Joys of Nudity
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 31, 2009 7:42am PDTThe Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut patch is now available on FileShack, which developer CD Projekt Red explains will restore North American copies of The Witcher to "the version of the game our developers originally intended for you to play."
What that means is your Witcher will now boast all the glorious digital lady bits that were censored in North America, including this unsurprisingly risque "sex card" shown here.
All North American digital distribution platforms will now sell the action RPG's Director's Cut in place of the plain old Enhanced Edition.

While you Americans are only just now, something like a year later, getting a tiny patch to bring back a few boobies and swear words.
There's something seriously wrong with a nation that legally carries around semi-automatics while acting so immature.

I got this game free with a videocard purchase. I installed it with relatively no issues, but couldn't register because the game didn't come with a key... Or maybe it was on the sleeve and I lost it. When EE (enhanced edition) came out, I wasn't registered so I couldn't update. I contacted Atari, and they sent me a new key. This was about a year ago. It registered fine and I played and had fun etc.
Anyway, last march or so, I formatted my PC and put Windows 7 on there. When I tried to reinstall Witcher, it wouldn't let me update because it said I wasn't registered. So, I put in my login info that I originally registered with, and it asked me for my key, so I put in the key that Atari sent me about a year ago. Then, it says that my key is already in use by another account. WTF? I'm using the same account I originally registered with, same login and password. So, I'm stuck with vanilla Witcher, can't patch, can't upgrade to EE. I've tried contacting Atari twice about it in the past couple weeks, no response whatsoever.
I've pretty much given up on playing this game. It sucks because I legally own it.

It's really time I play my copy of this game, unfortunately I *think* the DVD drives in my main computer don't work right. I guess that goes to show how often I use them. I just remember upon buying the uber extreme version of Fallout3 having to work around using a local disc drive.
Maybe this will make me throw the extra drive I have in there.

Also, concerning this final battle in Act 3, how many of these dudes do I have to kill? I must have slaughtered a hundred before the game crashed on me.
