Stardock has released the demo for Demigod, its strategy game developed in collaboration with Gas Powered Games. Grab the 599mb demo now.

Demigod was derived from the Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients. Players command powerful avatars amidst a field of lesser minions, fighting on teams as they power up and take down rival Demigods. Says Stardock of the demo's content: "The demo features online Internet multiplayer games, the Cataract map and four playable Demigods (Regulus, Rook, Sedna and Lord Erebus.) All of the gameplay modes (Conquest, Dominate, Fortress and Slaughter) in Demigod are available to play in the demo."

Is there an AI skirmish mode in the demo as well? Not clear on that.

AI skirmish pales in comparison to the online play though, the AI is super easy compared to a real person. Much less fun, IMO

Yeah, I'm sure it is. I just like to be able t try it out at my own pace first before deciding if I want to go online.

yes, AI skirmish is really lame. and unfortunately the online community is filled with asshats, second only to DotA itself. which i guess shouldnt be all that surprising, all things considered.
