Dark Void Delayed to 'Avoid Competition'
by Chris Faylor, Jul 30, 2009 10:02am PDTJet pack-tastic action game Dark Void has been delayed into 2010 "to avoid competition with releases of
major titles of other companies," publisher Capcom announced today.
The Airtight-developed PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game was previously expected to hit North American and Europe by the end of September 2009, going by Capcom's past financial documents, with the title now due between January 1 and March 31, 2010.
Capcom also noted expectations that the game will sell 2 million copies by April 2010.

So those games aren't competition either? This is just fucked...just release the game when its ready because you're not getting any less competition in 2010. This generation of games has finally hit a huge stride with games coming out at all times of year. Just look at this summer, between May and August we got:
Ghostbusters, Prototype, inFamous, Red Faction Guerilla, Wii Sports Resort, Wolfenstein, Batman Arkum Asylum, and probably a lot more that I missed.
Stupid....just stupid...

Another important point is, of all those games you listed for 2010, most could be delayed again for some reasons.
and last but not least, look at the releases in the last months, publishers should finally start releasing more stuff in summer months.
