Dark Void Delayed to 'Avoid Competition'

Bad Company2, Splinter Cell, and now this. Boooooo!!!!!!!!

This has to be the weirdest year ever, every game publisher are delaying their games just because of a single game

Moving a game to 2010 "to a void competition" at this point is a complete joke. Because of all the delays there is more competition in 2010 now than there is this holiday season.

Wait a fucking minute? So they moved it to 2010, just like a bunch of other games for the same reason "competition"....but that's just creating more competition. Let's look at whats coming between January and April 2010:

Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bioshock 2, Singularity, Bayonetta, Red Steel 2, Mafia II, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, MAG, Darksiders, Aliens vs. Predator, and Alan Wake....

So those games aren't competition either? This is just fucked...just release the game when its ready because you're not getting any less competition in 2010. This generation of games has finally hit a huge stride with games coming out at all times of year. Just look at this summer, between May and August we got:

Ghostbusters, Prototype, inFamous, Red Faction Guerilla, Wii Sports Resort, Wolfenstein, Batman Arkum Asylum, and probably a lot more that I missed.

Stupid....just stupid...

So what IS coming out this Fall then?

This might be one of the first times that publishers finally got a clue? Just remember back to all those games that went under the radar and failed because of bad marketing and bad release timing.

This is a good thing, if they use the time wisely.

The people that don't want to buy Milk of duty are screwed :)

This is a shitty year for games. Everything has been delayed until next year. Is everyone that scared of cod?

Its interesting that so many developers are moving away from the holidays. Its great for me because its spread out and will be easier on my wallet to distribute the cost of these game longitudinally, however for the publishers the holidays is where most games will only make a good sale because of so many people buying things. MW2 is really the only game I can think of that will offer competition on the PS3 and 360. Too bad the Wii isn't suffering these issues.....

I'd much rather play this game than CoD. At least I hope it's as good as I want it to be.

Call of Duty is going to make an absolute killing with everyone else moving out of the way.

Good. There are too many games coming out this fall that I want to play.

It might not be a bad idea to space things out a bit anyway, instead of contributing to (and getting lost in) the xmas game-glut.

This game still looks interesting. :)
