DJ Hero Renegade Edition Unveiled
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 29, 2009 7:22am PDTActivision has released the first images of DJ Hero's 'Renegade Edition,' which packs a posh turntable with gold fixings and a hardshell carry case that converts to a DJ stand.
A 2-CD pack from pop music mavericks Eminem and Jay-Z featuring unreleased tracks is also included in the Renegade Edition of FreeStyleGames' turntabling rhythm game.
DJ Hero comes this October to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2, and Wii. Activision has yet to price the Renegade Edition, but the normal edition will cost a B-A-N-A-N-A-S $120.

It's getting oversaturated.

Heh heh ... spin-off ... get it?
Seriously though. I wonder what kind of market research Activision did for this? I would think that the price point would be at a lower entry level to encourage adoption. The different playstyle coupled with the higher price points (and general apathy) would seem to be a barrier to entry.
Will likely be a stunning success or a stunning failure sales-wise, with no in-between.
