UFC Powers THQ to Record Quarter

Strong sales of UFC Undisputed 2009 saw publisher THQ rake in $243 million over the last quarter.

THQ recorded net profits of $6.4 million, attributing its success not only to UFC's multi-million sales, but also to the release of Red Faction: Guerilla.

Though THQ is anticipating lower sales next quarter due to a lack of releases, it is expecting to soon become profitable due to recent cost-cutting initiatives and divisional reorganization.

I'm glad that Red Faction Guerilla has sold over a million copies across the PS3 and 360, that can only mean more DLC and an inevitable sequel with even better technology for full destructibility. I can't imagine what they may do with the next generation of hardware, whenever it is released.

Red Faction Guerrilla, Killzone 2 and Wii Sports Resort are the best games released so far this year.
