I really wish they hadn't toned down the gore for this =\

Also the addition of coop would offset the loss of gore if it worked offline

The loss of gore and such is ridiculous. I kinda hate how the new Team Ninja lead is saying that this NG title is different from the 360 version in that they decided not to focus so much on the gore. What the hell? If you're remaking a game, the proper thing to do would be to add features, not truncate them. I loved how you could lop off multiple limbs with arterial spatter ejecting from open wounds and the persistent ninjas, whom I can only assume are blood relatives to the knight in Monty Python, would still keep coming at you.

I got stuck on I believe it was Chapter 7 with the Werewolves and the I think his name was Vlad the main werewolf, so undoubtedly I'll buy it again so I can finally beat it but some of those bosses and levels beforehand that were just too difficult to be fun for me.

It also appears I'll be destroying a giant Buddha and Statue of Liberty in this one. Yay.

I'm at chapter 8, this game is extremely hard :P I stopped playing though, no story whatso ever, so I didn't care much to continue playing.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm still keeping my NG2 X360 version though. The new Team Ninja is Team Ninja in name only. So far they've only ported what Itagaki and his crew have done. If Sigma is any indicator, Hayashi doesn't have the attention to detail that Itagaki has. The new content is still going to be fun. Can't wait.

Wow that lack of gore totally sucks. It actually seems to detract from the game....... At least the satisfaction of destroying enemies.

I agree. For that reason I will not be buying it, even if that sounds kind of stupid. It somehow does add to the fun.

Well, the brutality and gore not only for aestetics but also part of the gameplay element. Depending on how you injured the enemies, their behavioral AI would adapt. Lot of the fanboys said that the violence was retarded but they failed to grasp how removing it would change this game quiet a bit. I'm sure not yet whether injuried enemies still did the same thing for this new version. Probably because it would be stupid if they didn't.

I recall reading in an interview that the gore will be there, but they had to leave out the gore in trailers and stuff due to ratings reasons. Nonetheless, I am going to hold out on a review just in case that person was BS'ing everyone.
