But Opera's chief technology officer, Hakon Wium Lie, suggested in an interview Friday that displaying logos or icons could result in a natural bias toward Internet Explorer..."We're not sure about the use of logos," Lie said. "The blue 'e' has become so associated with the Internet in general, due to the bundling with Windows. We think using the blue "e" might not be such a good idea."

I don't think Lie will be happy until Opera is allowed to use the IE icon and name, with users selecting Internet Explorer and being given Opera instead.
IMO he should be spending more time trying to figure out why so many more people choose Firefox (or even Chrome) over his company's product. There's no monopoly stuff involved in that choice and yet his browser is failing massively there, too.
