Battlefield 1943 Finally Arrives at Coral Sea on PS3
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 20, 2009 12:00pm PDTBattlefield 1943's dogfighting map 'Coral Sea' has been unlocked for PlayStation 3 players, triggered on Saturday evening by reaching the milestone of 43 million total kills.
The map was the subject of a community challenge which saw Xbox 360 and PS3 players shelling, bombing and shooting their way to the trigger figure. Xbox 360 troops managed to hit their target first, on July 14--a mere four days after the challenge began.

The rest of bf1943's maps are awesome but this one is claustrophobic, too compact and too chaotic. I dislike how you can't land or jump on any of the islands like you used to in 1942 :(
I hope they bring more old maps back tho, such as El Alamein and Bocage! I'd gladly pay for more of 'em

Considering how cheap the game was, I would gladly pony up some more cash for additional maps. But I won't turn down any free content (even more air superiority maps).
