This is how FPS games have been supported on PC for more than a decade. Remember the UT series bonus packs? Each one of those had more content that any of the paid shit on consoles, and they were always free.
My guess is, since they don't have to deal with MS's licensing and certification bullshit on PC, and since they don't have to front the cost of bandwidth for the downloads themselves, they decided to be generous and release the maps free on PC. Too bad no one else does this now. -

I was gonna come on here, and gloat about how it's pretty awesome that this seems to be a growing trend. I honestly don't mind waiting an extra period of time to have the content for free.
Console owners don't always get raped. They get a lot of cool stuff, betas and what not, for games that we won't see for over a year on PC for free. That said, yeah, should be used to getting nickle-and-dimed on stuff like this. -
You pay more for your games and for your additional content. Plus you use inferior controls and look at inferior graphics. Thats what you get for being a console gamer. nothing personal, just the facts.
I can hook my PC to my HDTV
I can upgrade my PC for $500 or less plus it does SO much more than a console.

Yup, Activision is shitting on their best customers (console players) yet again. They bilk console customers for 60% more money overall for the game and two map packs: $50 on PC vs. $80 total on consoles.
Way to reward the PC platform for being plagued by piracy and having no standard hardware/software configuration which makes development and debugging easier. Plus user-made maps and mods are available on PC. Activision could release this stuff for free on consoles as well, but they don't care if they piss of their largest customer base, apparently.-
LOL rage on console boy, you made the choice to buy a cod game on a console so you reap what you sow my friend.
Thanks to console's most new games are being dumbed down and in game interfaces are made a pain thanks to dev's ensuring that they can cram the controls into the limted amount of inputs that the console controllers provied rather than a full keyboard.
Thats the legacy of console gaming!

1st, it was Intel for the last WAW pack, not nVidia.
2nd, if you think Intel forked over $10 to Activision for every pack downloaded by PC gamers, you are a fool. They don't shoulder the cost equal to what console gamers get milked for.
3rd, since when did map packs from the developer make a platform relevant? I think user created content (free again) is a point of relevancy for the PC, perhaps.
Last, when Xbox gamers stop paying extra for maps, you'll start getting them for free as well.
