A Batman game needs Batvillains and Arkham Asylum's got 'em in spades, paraded before your eyes in a whole slew of screenshots and concept art, plus a new trailer.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos, Batman: Arkham Asylum is scheduled for a PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release on Bat-August 25.

This is potentially my game of the year. The only other title I'm looking forward to as much is StarCraft II, and while that will likely be better, the Batman and stealth fan in me is squealing over this one.

  I'm extremely excited as well...except for a few...naggy things. Like, why are they using the Horribad Movie version of Bane? They should know better. Oh, and I guess it goes without saying that some fourteen year old fap-fanatic must have done Harley and Ivy's new costumes.
