Free MechWarrior 4 Release Imminent
by Nick Breckon, Jul 09, 2009 3:40pm PDTCommunity site MekTek.net today announced that MechWarrior rights owner Smith & Tinker has given the site permission to distribute MechWarrior 4 and all of its expansions for free.
The release will mark the 25th anniversay of Battletech, and the announcement of a new MechWarrior game in development at Piranha Games.
For those that skipped it, Mech 4 was a very solid mech game, and well worth checking out. But hey, it's free, so I didn't have to tell you twice.
We're keeping an eye on the site and will update this post with download information when it becomes available.

Somewhat disappointed I sold my Sidewinder 3D and Sidewinder Precision Pro, although I don't really have time to get into another game right now anyway :(

Never bought any of the expansions, and with all the nostalgia going around and the mind blowing trailer, I've never had a better excuse to take a break from RL.
