Upcoming Xbox Live Arcade Games Priced: 'Splosion Man, TMNT, Shadow Complex, More (Updated)

13
Update: The below list has been tweaked to reflect a "last minute schedule change" that sees 'Splosion Man moved up to July 22 and TMNT bumped back to August 5.

With Microsoft readying its annual "Summer of Arcade" promotion, the company has priced and dated the five downloadable Xbox 360 games that fall under the campaign:

With The Secret of Monkey Island: SE priced at $10 and arriving on Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday, July 15, that paints a pretty clear picture of what to expect for the next while.

These arcade games are becoming less and less of impulse buys.

I am getting every single one of those except for 'Splosion Man (what is that) and it's going to be expensive :(

I agree they are all becoming very high qaulity, I am getting all.

Splosion Man is on my number one list, they made The Maw which was a very good game and this one is supposed to be even better (side scroll action 3d assests, platformer etc).

spolsion man looks like the only one i'd get. both due to the price and because the developer is the same one that made the maw which was another fairly priced game on XBLA a few months back. i'd rather not pay 1200 points for these types of games and i don't want to encourage the new tendency to price at this point.

on the other hand i think bf1943 will be the game that gets me to spend 1200 pts on an arcade title but that's a different story

actually spoke too soon, shadow complex looks like it has some depth to make it worthwhile for 1200 pts. hopefully the demo is good.

Missing the days of $10 new games and $5 remakes. Braid bucked the trend at $15 (I think it was the first "big" title to run that high), and now 80% of the "Summer" titles go for that price.

At least most of these look to be non-shovelware.

XBLA prices are getting too high for my taste. I'm interested in TMNT, but $15 is too much, especially since the prices (almost) never go down. I would rather spend my $15 on a full disc-based game from a few months ago that has hit the bargain bin.

Battlefield 1943 is worth $15 initial purchase with 4 maps, but I don't think anything on this list is worth $15. I can go to Gamestop and buy discounted/used full game disc titles that are way better than anything on this list. And then when I'm done with them, I can resell the game disc to reduce the cost even further.

Ok you're the 3rd person to say this. Looks like I am off to Gametrailers to check this out.

Shadow Complex is going to be so awesome, I cannot wait.

Hey, that does look kind of neat. That has moved up the list above TMNT and MvC2.
