Ghostbusters Demo on Xbox Live Now, PS3 Soon

9
Today is apparently the day to release demos of games that debuted in June, as a downloadable demo of Ghostbusters can now be found in the Xbox Live Marketplace for North America, with a downloadable PlayStation 3 demo also on the way.

Currently only available to Xbox Live Gold members--a restriction that generally lifts after a week--the Xbox 360 demo weighs in at 799 MB. The PlayStation 3 demo of Terminal Reality's latest is expected to hit Europe, and quite possibly North America, later today.

Taking place two years after the second Ghostbusters film, the game features the likenesses and vocal talents of original Ghostbusters Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, with Aykroyd and Ramis having written the game's script.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

I liked this game well enough, but if the demo includes the battle with the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man , then you basically get to play the best part of the game without buying it.

The rest of the bosses in the game were fairly uninteresting and/or unoriginal, with most of them being generic demons or arbitrary masses of matter created by the black slime .

Spoilers don't work on front page! Not that we don't know about the SPMM cause it was in all the pics.

Ah oops.... I didn't think about them not working over to the front page.

But yeah I know it isn't really much of a spoiler if you've seen a screenshot (as posted above) or commercial for the game. I was just trying to be careful.

Really..? I didn't find that perticular scene to be honestly that great. I did really enjoy the game though.

I believe the demo is of the Library level.
