Command & Conquer 4 Details and Media
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 09, 2009 5:49am PDTAfter Command & Conquer 4's accidental announcement yesterday, EA has revealed details and media from the "epic conclusion to the beloved Tiberium universe."
With Tiberium threatening to render Earth entirely uninhabitable, the warring Nod and GDI factions find themselves with the common goal of saving humanity, and at long last the world will discover "Kane's motivations behind his decade-long plan."
"A multitude of innovations" are promised, including "new class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression throughout all game modes."
As well as the usual pair of singleplayer campaigns--which can be played solo or cooperatively--C&C 4 will introduce "a new 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode."
Command & Conquer 4 is slated to arrive on PC in 2010, developed by EA Los Angeles.

The nearly ruined the true C&C: Red Alert III (what later became Generals under their control)
They ruined C&C: Red Alert 3 (their own product).
They ruined C&C III.
Chances of this being ruined?

I want a return to the roots of the C+C universes, with a basis in a near-future setting as opposed to huge airships and hovering commandos and fucking walking tanks and giant mechs.
It's just getting more and more wacky and it has turned a once great franchise into a crock of shit.

The GH and CoH series sell like crazy. I don't know how well CC3 sold but to conclude a series seems a bit odd from a business point of view.

Tiberium Sun definitely had it's weak points, but I always liked the big mech walkers. :)
