Command & Conquer 4 Officially Announced

33
Following the recent revelation of Command & Conquer 4 in a marketing survey, Electronic Arts today officially announced the announcement of the strategy game sequel.

Few details are available, however, as the announcement itself isn't yet available. You see, Joystiq noticed that the publisher used Twitter to declare that "EA LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF COMMAND & CONQUER 4," and the provided link doesn't actually pull up that press release.

Some tentative details were suggested in that survey, which stated that "Command & Conquer 4 allows C&C fans to finally experience the epic conclusion to the 15-year Tiberium saga with innovative RPG-like player progression, persistent in both single player and Multiplayer modes, co-op play, and new stylized, live-action cinematics."

C&C 3 was "meh" and Red Alert 3 was "blargh" to "barf". I don't have high hopes for this. :( Got fooled twice already.

      Kane's Wrath was awesome, though.

I thought C&C 3 was okay, just not special or really unique. I really had fun w/ Red Alert 3 in co-op. The humor, mission design, and unit design were lots of fun.

There were one or two maps in C&C 3 that really pissed me off. In hindsight, after getting past them, I don't think they detracted from the game. Kane's Wrath was pure awesomeness. In the end I'd give both two thumbs up, but if you'd asked me when I was stuck I'd of had to think about C&C 3. I think Nintendo's idea of having a mode where the game plays through a section for you would have been nice on those tough maps.

There was once an RTS that was set on the bottom of the ocean, and you could set the AI to take care of your economy, military, or both. It was kind of bullshit, no fun at all, just read a FAQ?
