LucasArts Bringing Classics to Steam

LucasArts has partnered with digital distributor Steam to bring "digital adventurey goodness" to the masses, with the first batch arriving Wednesday July 8.

"This series of launches continues LucasArts' new mission to revitalize its deep portfolio of beloved gaming franchises," the studio said in a press release, adding via Twitter that "this is just the beginning." The ten PC games contained in the initial batch are:

  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
  • LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
  • LOOM
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • Star Wars Republic Commando
  • Star Wars Starfighter
  • The Dig
  • Thrillville: Off the Rails

      Hey, Fate of Atlantis is certainly a classic.

      Also, maybe the reason titles like Full Throttle or Day of the Tentacle aren't on there is they're waiting to see how well the remake of Monkey Island does and will give them the same treatment. That would be pretty sweet.
