A new trailer for TimeGate's shooter Section 8 shows power armour floating like a butterfly, stinging like a bee, and calling in vehicle airdrops like elite futuristic infantry.

Section 8 lands on PC and Xbox 360 in August, published by SouthPeak Interactive.

Only on a console can you slowly fall from the sky as your enemy tries fruitlessly to track you.

That aside, it looks like it could be fun. Hope the PC port is a good one.

Based on the other gameplay videos posted for this game it will be interesting to see if they increase the strafe and sprint speed for this game. This video shows short clips but if you watch the other videos it takes a fuckton lot of bullets to kill someone and close combat is slow. This contrasts with the whole jetpack thing.

i dont see the tribes resemblance. tribes was not this spammy and spastic. the best weapon was the disc or mortar and that took skill to use. i think this looks more like halo 3 than anything else.

This shows you how much people who dont play Tribes understand the game. This is nothing like Tribes except that it includes a jetpack and assets. No jump skiing, no speed, no routes no tribes.
