Report: Fourth Resident Evil Film In Development

A fourth Resident Evil film is in the works according to a new report by ShockTillYouDrop.

The film, to be written by series producer Paul W.S. Anderson, is purportedly titled "Resident Evil: Afterlife." STYD has apparently confirmed a release date of September 17, 2010.

No other details on the film were available, though series star Milla Jovovich has apparently been hinting at a reprisal of her role as Alice.

paul thinks he can come in and make a movie out of anything we've been wanting to see for a while now, but the guy literaly destroys the films lore, background. he has no appreciation for the fans. im sure its gonna suck as much balls as the second.

Oh God - Paul W.S. Anderson. Has he had one good film in his career? I will admit, Event Horizon was scary as balls, but it doesn't say if he's directing this or not. Both AvP films were god awful, though. Maybe he'll somehow redeem himself with his next film.

OH noes. If they are gonna make a Resident Evil movie it should have been closely based on the first Resident Evil, the only game that had a real atmosphere about it.

I actually think the first movie was quite an achievement. I thought it was good when i saw it. But over time it has gorwn on me more, and i actually think its definately quite a good movie. It has an interesting art style, and really good Audio soundtrack. It just seems like quite a unique and memorable movie to me.
It had its flaws, the licker/hunter was pretty gay. But the zombies/red queen were well done. And the ending was definately satisfying.
IMO best game-movie adaptation.

(better than hitman i think, Hitman was good, however i think RE is more unique)
