Fallout 3 'Point Lookout' DLC and Patch 1.6 Released

Put the DLC on Steam and I'll buy it, for christ's sake.

I didn't think it would be out this quick!

Better be 'deeper' than The Pitt was, I think I finished that in about an hour and a half. I guess they need to structure the content so it can be done by people at almost any level... but how many people didn't have max-leveled characters long before any new content came out? Even with the we're taking away all your money and weapons and armor part of The Pitt, it was completely without challenge, questing/investigatively and in combat terms. Loved the climbing the giant catwalk tower up above everything in the Steelyard though, amazing views; it needed more 'wild' areas like that to explore and fight in.

But I will buy this because I am compelled to. Goddamn, I have an evil and a good character who are both approaching 100hrs played each - and I'm still finding new stuff in the original game that neither has done yet - new side/minor/unmarked quests and whole new locations with wacky backstories (there's dungeons/sewers/buildings all over I found and never entered/cleared, while doing the main quest line.

Can't wait. Needed a way to get to level 30 since I did "Anchorage" and "the Pitt" before the level cap was raised. "Broken Steel" was not enough content to get me there without aimlessly wandering.

Does this fix the hang on exit that some people have been experiencing since Broken Steel / 1.5 came out?

Really? A patch that doesn't take care of the damn crashes to desktop my brother and I keep having every 5 minutes? I'm sure we're not alone. And we have quite different computers so it must be widespread...

The map is huge. I've only gone to the shop so far but it's barely any distance from the boat on the map.

I love waiting months for a patch that does fuck all.

Maybe I've misread this but is the patch only for the PC or 360 too?

How has the DLC been for this game? I have the PC version and I haven't bought any yet. I've beat the game once.

I'm thinking about buying the PS3 game of the year edition later this year. Since all the DLC would cost me like $40 anyway.

I'm waiting for the Fallout 3 Mega Edition which will include the entire game+DLC+patches for $49.99.

Off topic, but is there a way to find out if your Xbox Live Gold membership is still live? I made the mistake of updating with one of those 3 month cards a while back and I'm not sure if this will be another piece of $40 DLC.
