Xbox Live Having Issues After Maintenance
by Chris Faylor, Jun 17, 2009 11:39am PDTUpdate: "The issues around accessing Xbox LIVE Marketplace content are now resolved," Microsoft's Larry Hryb declared in an early morning June 18 status update .
Though Xbox Live has returned following yesterday's scheduled downtime, Microsoft has confirmed that the service is currently experiencing "technical issues" that may prevent users from purchasing and downloading content from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
"We are aware of the problem and working to resolve the technical issues," Microsoft's Xbox Live Status page currently reads. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."
Word of the issues surfaced over at Kotaku, following reports that Xbox 360 owners were having problems with Marketplace downloads, including Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers and pre-order bonus content for Ghostbusters.
