You're kidding, right? I JUST bought Oblivion today! I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and thought that I could check out Oblivion, now that I'm more familiar with the genre and now it comes out on Steam and a 20% sale at that? Worst timing ever for buying a three year old game ...

Can you install mod packs on the steam version? You can't play Oblivion with natural environments. You should be ashamed of yourself if you ever have.

Oblivion imo is worse than Morrowind in many ways, the inventory system being only one of them. The atmosphere, lack of unique items, etc. keeps it on the more boring side. However, I'm describing the unmodded versions. Once you start adding in the tons of mods you start REALLY making Oblivion as good as, or even better than Morrowind.

I have many more mods installed, but these are some of the bigger ones. Leveling mods are personal preference, and I can't recall which one I have on at the moment. Enjoy!

I've gotta say I'm just finally getting around to Fallout 3 (had since Christmas) and I'm not particularly impressed so far. The animations are very stiff, and the dialogue tree is pretty much a useless, wasted feature. Morrowind was by far my favorite, which coincidentally was made before they shifted their focus to the xbox.

I hope this means Fallout 3 DLC will come to Steam eventually.

Call of Cthulhu: DCOTE is an awesome sleeper hit if you haven't tried it. The PC version is way different than the console version. I played through it earlier this year and it holds up well. If you like games with tons of atmosphere and the price is right, go for this one.

I might pick up Morrowind, never finished it on Xbox and it ain't back compat :(

Call of Cthulu - Dark Corners of the Earth is the best game out of the bunch.

I've had to rebuy oblivion 3 times since my first purchase and i would've rather bought it on steam the first time!
