Gran Turismo 5 Trailer: Zooming Lovely

The E3 trailer for Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 trailer shows an assortment of race types in a multitude of cars in some absolutely gorgeous environments.

It doesn't, however, show a release date for the PlayStation 3 racer. "That might be 2009, or it might be 2010," said Polyphony Digital founder Kazunori Yamauchi last year.

I saw Loeb's rally car, I will be sure to crash in to it EVERY TIME I can >:( or drive it off cliffs.

ALSO the WRC section was clearly pre-rendered.
ALSO this is the second video using the new PS3 logo - the PS3 slim is pretty much confirmed as real now as far as I'm concerned.

WRC! I hate all the license shit in these games, but the WRC section looks great. Has got to be better than the retarded mixed bag of truck/buggy/track racing Colin McRae Rally has become. :(

that STI taking damage looks pre-rendered.... i hope they give prologue owners like a $15 rebate if we get the full game.

Looks great. Despite my personal disinterest in NASCAR I think it is cool they're putting that in the game.

For now Forza 2 and Forza 3 should keep me busy, maybe I'll look at getting a PS3 in however many more years it will be before this is out.

Is anyone else very surprised by the inclusion of nascar in GT5? IIRC, I never thought that was a race type that they were planning to include when development first started. It just doesn't seem very true to the "Gran Turismo" style.

If this is a contributing reason as to why it's taking so damn long to release this game, that's fucking absurd.
